Voula

Garden of private home in Voula. The garden's construction, of an area of 400 m2, was launched in June 2009 and completed in about 12 days.

This is a simple garden of a luxury apartment building in which the emphasis was on simplicity and creation of open space for social events and sport activities. Due to the very poor granulated soil composition (loamy in a very large part), we proceeded to remove 50 cm of soil and adding new, with excellent granulometry.

We placed turf of special variety to keep its bright green color throughout the year and to ensure its endurance under the intense stress of the various social activities.

Around the green space we planted Apollo Laurels (Laurus nobilis), and some blind spots of the garden were covered with geotextile and river pebbles. To cover the parking place, we installed cementitious block whose gaps were filled with turf.

A fully automated irrigation system was installed across the whole garden using solenoid valves and a central controller. Pop-ups were used for the irrigation of lawn and self-regulating dripping hoses for watering the trees and shrubs.
