This progect concerns a private college in Koropi, Attica, Greece. The construction of the exterior garden of the college, with a total area of 70,000 m2 concered mainly large beds of shrubs and trees.

This is a very large space of flora, with a large amount of sunshine throughout the day. We didn't place any turf, but only shrubs and trees in order to give a sense of natural environment and to fit the area with the hills that surround the college.

Around the plot we planted cypresses (Cupressus sempervirens) and leilands (Cupressocyparis leylandii) in order to protect the internal space from the very strong winds.

In the main area we created large beds of small and large shrubs, trees, herbs and grasses. The main characteristic of those shrubs and trees was the large size in order to ensure that there will be alternating color throughout the year. In addition, wooden pergolas were built in certain areas of the garden where placed wooden benches.

Across the garden was a fully automated irrigation system was installed using solenoid valves and central controller. Pop-ups were also used for the irrigation of lawn and self-regulating dripping hoses for watering the trees and shrubs.
