Soil drainage

Soil drainage is a specialized task that is totally necessary in cases where water infiltration can cause serious damage in crops, green areas, houses, roads etc.

Concerning the green areas, drainage is considered necessary when there is:

  • Bad grading composition of the soil.
  • Low factor of water permeability.
  • Impervious layers of soil in low depth.

Drainage is implemented by constructing a network of underground drilled pipes of different sizes. Those pipes are buried in inclination into the ground in order to collect and drain the overwhelming water of an area. That way the prevention of deterioration of the terrain is achieved.

In most cases, this drilled pipe network is "wrapped up" with a geotextile of special transmittance and covered with stone materials.
